It’s me, Pam!
I’m a first-generation Mexican-American immigrant tackling the world of student loan debt in Portland. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest in a traditional Mexican home, I learned the value of diversity and family but was introduced to passions like the outdoors and wildlife.
As a DACA recipient, immigration rights and advocacy have become a small side project, spreading awareness by sharing my story with whoever will listen, particularly in the tech start-up community. Today, with a career in tech spanning a decade, I have worked as a part of the Silicon Beach startup scene in LA, then moved on to sustainability and financial technologies. Most recently, I am an account executive at Earnest - a company that aims to lessen the burden of higher education through financial tools.
